Serological Studies on the Elimination of Antigen from Blood and the Formation of Antibody after a Single Intravenous Injection of Soluble Protein in the Rabbits

Abstract
In order to evaluate immune diseases the elimination of antigen and the formation of antibodies were observed in vivo instead of testing antigen-antibody complex directly. The relation between host and antigens derived was observed and at the same time the selection of methods for testing antibodies after injecting these antigens intravenously into rabbits was attempted. The conclusions are as follows:
The elimination of antigen and the formation of antibodies were not influenced significantly by the difference of distances between genus host and antigens derived. The choice of methods for testing antibodies appeared in rabbits was hemagglutination. The author thinks that precipitin reaction and complement fixation test could be used respectively to analyse properties of their antibodies.
